September 12, 1941 - November 22, 2025
Connie, Mom, Grammie and Friend, was born in Port Huron, MI to Thomas and Elaine Monahan. When her father returned from serving as a member of Merrill's Marauders/Burma, in WW11, the family moved to Wakefield, VA as an only child, but found an abondance of cousins who became more like siblings to her in her lifetime.
She went to Wakefield High School where met her sweetheart Paul, and future husband of 65 years. They moved to Richmond and had Chris, Craig and Candace that filled our lives with love as our family grew! Chris and Noelle had C.J., Alyce, (newborn great granddaughter Charlotte), and Ian to bring more love and smiles into our lives. A few years ago, we were blessed with another granddaughter, Lanaya, that found us through Ancestry, bringing two great grandchildren, Axel and Arwyn into our clan.
Our daughter, Candace, has three amazing, loving boys that I had the joy of caring for when they were young. Barrett, Macaulay and Kennon Hopson. What a wonderful blessing they were and continue to be to us.
We lost and miss our son Craig in 2018 which never leaves our hearts. He was an important part of all of our lives. We have lost close friends that were such a part of our everyday lives too. Without them the laughter is less but the memories still make us smile.
I thank God in my nightly prayers for the support, love, patience and care these families give us old people when we are together. They fill our home with unconditional love and forgiveness.
A Memorial service will be held, 2 p.m. Friday, December 5th at Bliley's Funeral Home Central Chapel. A livestream of the service can be viewed by going to www.blileys.com on Connie's obituary page.

Even decades since I last saw Connie, her radiant smile was immediately recognizable. Memories of Ivor and of the friendship between her father, Tom Monahan, and my father, Thomas Beale, have prevailed. May memories shared by her family and friends be a special legacy of comfort in her loss.
