Constance Palmer Obituary

Connie Palmer died peacefully in DE following a brief illness. She was 85. Her beloved husband Philip Palmer preceded her in death. As musicians, teachers and owners of Boykins Music they were active in the community for many years. She is remembered for her quick smile, warmth, keen intellect and many talents as a professional horn player, accomplished amateur painter and self professed foodie. She will be missed by her daughter Chris, sister Diane, brother Ken and countless family, friends, former students and colleagues. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Greenspring Music Foundation (https://greenspringmusic.networkforgood.com/).

We love Aunt Connie so very much. She was always so welcoming when we'd visit her in Richmond. Aunt Connie was an attentive and generous hostess, preparing terrific meals for us and sharing genuine, heartfelt conversation. Our most cherished memories are of Thanksgivings at Aunt Connie's, in Richmond, with her sister, Diane, Diane's husband, the sisters' 3 children & their partners, and a grandnephew. We will deeply miss her love and her presence in our lives.

When my mom decided to move to DE in 2019, my life changed for the better. We were always close but I will forever be grateful for the gift of spending her last years together. She was always up for an adventure and to try new things.
