Darrell Dimowski Obituary

Darrell Anthony Dimowski, Sr.

June 17, 1956 - September 11, 2024

Darrell A. Dimowski, Sr., 68, of Henrico, VA was taken to his heavenly rest on September 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Patricia Dimowski. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty, and beloved family, son Tony (Whitney), grandson Cole (Sarah), granddaughter Skyla, sisters Sharon, Sandy (Nick), Sheryl, Sue (Richard), brothers Bruce, Scott (Di) and a large extended family including many nieces and nephews. Although Darrell had many different jobs throughout his life, the one he most enjoyed was working with computers after earning his GED and Microsoft Certified Professional Certification. He could fix almost anything and never hesitated to help those in need, whether he had known them for 20 years or 20 minutes. His passions included old war weapons and vintage motorcycles. His sudden passing left a hole in our hearts, and he will be forever missed. A Private Memorial Service will be held at Second Baptist Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to: Mae's Mutts Rescue and Advocacy (checks to Maes Mutts Inc., 10200 Meadbrook Ct., Henrico, VA 23238 or online at maesmuttsrescue.org).

My brother was Grizzly Adams wrapped around the soul of Winnie the Pooh, tough yet sweet. He was just as likely to laugh off a compliment as he was to come over and help you build a porch. He was a good man who loved his wife, family, friends, Nascar, football and good food. He used to cook with gusto!

Darrell lived a life fulfilling his earthly mission. His compassion for others in need was evident. We will miss him dearly and love him always. I will especially miss my holiday visits to celebrate. They will remain cherished memories.

Love,
Sheryl Carter

Darrell was always a good brother to me. When Paul passed, Darrell helped me with so many things. He had a good heart and he will always be very special to me forever.

To Darrell“s family: I knew him as a good man on the gun hobby website we both frequent. I was impressed by his sensibility and even temper. I was further impressed by his concern for a neighbor and his work setting up an effort to fix up her house. Obviously, many more people will have a deeper experience to share, but this is all I need to regret not having him around. I am very sorry for your loss.
