Donald Cruickshanks Obituary

Donald Vaughan Cruickshanks

Donald Vaughan Cruickshanks, of Henrico, VA passed away on December 29, 2024.

He was born on July 4, 1957 to the late Douglas Cruickshanks Sr. and Emma Bee Waldrop Cruickshanks.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his aunt, Jean Vaughan Waldrop.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Conrad Cruickshanks; his son, Allan Conrad Cruickshanks and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; his son, Andrew Douglas Cruickshanks; his grandchildren, Vaughan, Anna and Grace; and by his brother and sister, Douglas Cruickshanks, Jr., Jeanne Fellowes and their families.

Donald graduated from Trinity Episcopal High School and Randolph-Macon College.

He was a Senior Vice President at Old Republic Title Insurance Company.

Donald was an active member and former Deacon at River Road Church, Baptist.

Donald loved his time, many years ago, with his boys in Boy Scouts and was a former Scout master of Troop 418. He also loved being outside taking hikes with his dog.

He especially loved his time spent with his children and grandchildren, skiing, hiking, boating, fishing, and going to Holden Beach.

He was a beloved father, friend, brother and Grandpa and he will be missed.

A service to celebrate Donald's life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, January 11th at River Road Church, Baptist.

A private Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to River Road Church, Baptist or a Charity of your choosing.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Carol and his children. I worked with Donald many years ago at Lawyers Title and we spoke off and on over the years. I am so very sorry for your loss.
