Donald Gaskin Obituary

Donald Jerome Gaskin Sr., 65, a native of Powhatan, Va., entered eternal rest on Monday, January 30, 2006. He was born April 20, 1940 to the late Nelson Gaskin Sr. and the late Rose Lewis Gaskin. "Buck", as he was affectionately called, was employed with Moffitt Restoration and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Newport News, VA. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Josephine Taylor Gaskin; a son, Donald J. Gaskin Jr. (Tara Robertson); a daughter, Pamela Y. Adams (Wilbert Adams); five grandchildren, JahMar, Derik, Destiny, Kiyana and Devon; a sister, Doris Rudd (Frank); several nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 3 at Trinity Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be today from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The Gaskin family is receiving services of comfort from Nicholson-Cummings Funeral Home, 4304 Victoria Blvd., Hampton. (757) 728-0122.
