We are very sorry to hear about your loss. We came to know your mother through her weekly and sometimes daily visits to the Post Office on 2nd Street. She was always in very good spirits and always shared a testimony with us, we were touched by her pressence and we saw her struggles, she fought a strong and courageous battle, we were sorry that we just learned of her demise a week later. You have our sympathy.

To this great family, I truly will miss your Mama's smile, laughter and her concern about other that were ill. She always had a kind word for everyone that she came in contact. May God wrap His arms around each of you and remember all the joy that your Mother and Granny gave you. I will keep the family in prayer. She was a great playmate during our younger days. My family and I will truly miss her.

Family, I am an old friend of your mom/grandmother. We had a lot of fun when we were growing up in Manakin. We would walk from house to house to play. God is good. Doris was always a joy. The last time I saw her (a few months ago at St John's on North Ave) she was smiling as always. She told me she was ill but you could not tell by her smile. Have peace in knowing that she loved you and that she will always be with you in your hearts, thoughts and deeds. Reflect on the time God allowed her to be here with you. May the peace of God bless and keep you today and always.

I will have to thank the Lord for blessing us with someone as precious as you. There is none greater than "Grandma Doris". You've blessed each and every one of us in a special way. I appreciate all of your encouragement and thoughts of you will be enough of a spark for me to continue on. Heavenly Father bless the family at this time and pull us together as ONE and let us understand the true meaning of unity. Let us give Doris one last beautiful smile as she watches over us all. In Jesus name Amen.
