To Dorothy`s family: please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. Dorothy was a special, formidable person. I used to see her and Jack at the Goochland YMCA regularly bright and early in the morning. I so admired Dorothy´s persistence. I´ve been missing her smile there for some time. She reminded me of my mother. Please take good care of yourselves and each other, especially during this sad time.

We met Miss Dorothy (and Jack) through the Goochland YMCA. They took us in and quickly became friends and models for consistent workouts and getting and staying in shape. Over the years we loved hearing stories of her extensive travels, the latest on her children and eating some of her famous desserts. She was very smart and still sharp when we last spoke in December. We are grateful and to have had her as a gift in our lives. Thanks so much family for sharing Miss Dot with us. Sincerest condolences...

To Jarvis, Jonathan, Stephanie and Yvette, Praying that your heart will be filled with the peace of God during this time of your mother´s transition. I know you have great sense of physical loss but the memories of your mom will fill the void. I have great memories of "Mrs. J" as I called her-her smile and the cakes! We had lots of fun in my night sewing class. I will always cherish those moments. Remember God loves you, will comfort and keep you strong this day and those to follow. All of you are in my prayers. With caring and heartfelt sympathy and Love in Christ. Patricia Randolph
