Earl Barker Obituary

Earl D. Barker, 65, died on January 10, 2004 in Leesburg, Va. Beloved husband of Sydney Barker; loving father of three daughters, Donna Madison, Susan Childress and Jennifer Barker; and three stepsons, John Bridges, Travis Bridges and David Bridges. Mr. Barker is also survived by one brother, Ronald Barker; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Barker retired following a 30 year career with the United States Secret Service. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Chapel, Backlick and Edsall Roads, Springfield/Annandale, Va., where a service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 17. Interment will follow at the Pohick Church Cemetery.

Memories and stories of Denny will always warm my heart such as Ronny being late for supper because he was "tied up" and how you never should turn your back on Big Shot the rooster, when changing a tire. He will be missed but never be far from us in memory or spirit.
