Eldridge Perkins Obituary

Eldridge Lee Perkins

June 4, 1945 - July 11, 2025

Eldridge Lee Perkins, 80, of Glen Allen, VA peacefully entered heaven on July 11, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Mary Ella; aunt, Thelma; sister, Geraldine; brother, Skipper; and daughter, Michelle. Eldridge is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vicki; sister, Marilyn (Ken); sister, Karen; daughter, Melissa (Chris); son, Jack (Stephanie); granddaughters, Austin, Ashley, Arryn (Brendan), Alison, and Emily; nieces and nephews, Sara (JJ), Steven (Amy), Scott (Denise), Stuart, Josh (Gloria), Jason (Mandie), Brian, Kevin and their families; as well as a host of other family members and dear friends.

Eldridge grew up in Montpelier and was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and a member of the Virginia National Guard where he was called to duty during the floods of Richmond in 1972. Eldridge and his wife Vicki were devoted "band parents" during the years that their children attended Hermitage High School. Eldridge was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church where he took great pride in singing in the choir, whose members became family to him. He will be remembered for his quick wit, big personality, and the beautiful bass voice he shared so generously.

Funeral services will be held at Lakeside United Methodist Church on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Eldridge's name to Lakeside United Methodist Church, 2333 Hilliard Road, Richmond, VA 23228.
