Eleanor Crostic Obituary

CROSTIC, Eleanor Walton, 97, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Clarence Crostic (in 2003). Eleanor was the tenth of eleven children born to Joseph Libsey Walton and Ada Mills Walton, all of whom have passed. She is survived by her daughter, Linda C. Proffitt (Jerry); a son, Clarence G. "Jerry" Crostic (Claudette); two grandchildren, Samuel T. Proffitt and Jennifer L. Hayes (Matt); a great granddaughter, Paisleigh Hayes, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a long-time banking employee and a faithful member of Catholic Church of the Epiphany in Chesterfield. The family will receive additional family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Bliley's – Central, 3801 Augusta Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Drive. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
