Elizabeth Ambrogi Obituary

AMBROGI, Elizabeth Hamlett, was born in Charlotte County, Virginia on October 5, 1932. After 89 trips around the sun, she went to her Heavenly home on August 27, 2022. She is survived by the love of her life, of 62 years, Lorenzo Giovanni Ambrogi; devoted daughter, Susan Ambrogi Parker, her husband, Keith H. Parker; granddaughters, Cristina R. Lynn and Maria T. Nicholas (Craig); and great-grandson, Landon Craft; sons, David G. Ambrogi, Michael A. Ambrogi (Laura); two siblings; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a loving brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Franco and Ruth Ambrogi. She loved learning, reading, nature, traveling to Italy, and took being the matriarch of her family very seriously. From the moment Lorenzo spotted her on the city bus and they met on a blind date on April 11, 1959, they were inseparable. He was her steadfast caregiver during her battle with Alzheimer's disease. We are grateful for the care and love that was shown to her by the many caregivers and friends during the end of her life on Earth. A Mass will be held in her honor at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022, with a reception to follow at 12 p.m., where the family will receive friends at Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Ashland, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Greater Richmond Chapter Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130 Glen Allen, Va. 23060, or Saint Ann's Catholic Church, 105 S. Snead Street, Ashland, Va. 23005.

Dear Lorenzo and family,
You have Ralph and my deepest sympathy in the passing of Betty.
May you find comfort in the many special memories of Betty in the coming days. My memories of Betty during our working relationship were fond ones. I do remember her love of her husband, children, grandchildren, church, and her devotion to each in her way.
