Elizabeth Carpenter Obituary

Elizabeth D. "Liz" Carpenter went to be with her mother on November 8, 2025.

She was preceded in death by Dewight DeMasters and Kenneth Carpenter. Liz is survived by her son, Dr. Dave DeMasters (Amy) of Richmond, VA; her daughter, Danielle Uthe (Jeffrey) of Wesley Chapel, FL; and her loving partner, Thomas Uthe of King William, VA. She was a devoted grandmother to Joshua DeMasters of Richmond, Dr. Chelsea DeMasters of Washington, D.C., Rachel Uthe of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Lexi Uthe of Wesley Chapel, FL, and a proud great-grandmother to Carson DeMasters of Goochland, VA.

A Celebration of Life was held on November 12, 2025, at West End Assembly of God Church for family and close friends. In accordance with her wishes, Liz was cremated, and interment will take place at a later date.

Liz was a graduate of the University of Richmond and dedicated many years to serving students in the Chesterfield and Henrico school systems. She had a special love for her "little children" and found great joy in nurturing young minds.

She treasured time spent with her family, enjoyed playing cards with her many card groups, and loved traveling the world. Liz will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to family, and the joy she brought to those who knew her.
