BENNETT, Erna Kranzusch, 82, of Richmond, formerly of Germany, passed away January 7, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Elsine Weiss Kranzusch; and was preceded in death by her husband, Horace E. Bennett; and two brothers, Albert and Hans. Mrs. Bennett leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Laura B. Tate; sons, Dennis (Tammy), Mark and Glenn (Pam); nine grandchildren, Mandy, Matthew and Daniel Tate, Jason, Eric, Michael and Jessica Bennett, Amber Beekman and John Harris; great-grandchildren, Molly, Lucas, Kara, Maddox, Taylor, Chesney and Daisy; a sister, Annaliese Peckmann; a brother, Hermann Kranzusch (Hannalora); sister-in-law, Christel Kranzusch; and a brother-in-law, Ernest Bennett. She was a devoted member of Webber Memorial Baptist Church. Her heartlight shined brightest for the children she loved to care for in the church nursery and for the many children she cared for in her home. Her remains rest at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull St., where the family will receive friends Sunday, 3 to 6 p.m., and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday. Interment to follow at Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Webber Memorial Baptist Church.
