Frances Walker Obituary

Frances Walker

November 12, 1939 - September 24, 2025

Frances Louise Walker (née Williams), age 85, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Henrico, VA. Born on November 12, 1939, in Pulaski, VA, she lived a full and cherished life devoted to her family.

Frances was the beloved daughter of Elmer and Louise Williams. She grew up alongside her brothers EK Williams Jr., who survives her, and Charles Williams, who preceded her in death. Her early years in Pulaski laid the foundation for a life centered around love, resilience, and deep familial bonds.

For 65 years, Frances shared a devoted marriage with her husband, James L. Walker Sr., building a legacy of love and commitment that spanned generations. Together they raised three children, James Walker Jr. (Barbara), Joel Walker, and Anne Wheeler (Paul), each of whom carries forward her enduring spirit.

Frances took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to James Walker III and Megan Walker. Her joy only grew with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Saige, Charlee, and Harrison, who brought light to her later years.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Frances's life was defined by the strength of her relationships and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her. A Memorial Gathering will be held on October 9, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Goodwill Baptist Church 8701 Hungary Spring Road.

Earlier today

Jim and Family We learned of Fran's passing from the Times Dispatch this morning. We are so very sorry for your loss. We spent many happy days at Sunset Hills and later New Covenant Baptist Church with you all and we cherish the memories we shared with you. Good times. One of God's
blessings to us is our ability to remember our past with the ones who mean so much to us. We are sorry that we will not be there for the memorial in person , but we will be there in spirit. You all remain in our thoughts and prayers.
May God continue to be with you and uplift you in this difficult time.
Our love to all. Thank you and Fran for our beautiful memories
