Franklin Ware Obituary

Died on Monday, August 23, 2004, Franklin Knight Ware, age 83, of "Twin Farms," Louisa County, Va. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Constance Gammon Ware; his daughters, Mary Anne and her husband, Tommy Barlow, and Jane and her husband, Joseph Harris; two grandchildren, Sarah Ashley Barlow and Nathan Lloyd Harris; and his beloved nieces and nephews. Franklin was an elder emeritus of Holly Grove Christian Church, a member of the Louisa County Ruritan Club with 45 years perfect attendance, a former member of the Louisa County Board of Supervisors, and a charter member of the Holly Grove Volunteer Fire Department. A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Carl Howard, 3 p.m. Thursday, August 26, in Holly Grove Christian Church with interment in the Ware family cemetery, "Farrar Bank." The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 25. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Holly Grove Christian Church, c/o Carol Jean Smith, 2515 Owens Creek Rd., Mineral, Va. 23117. Arrangements by Lacy Funeral Home, Route 522, Mineral, Va.
