Rick was always a fierce individual and bright star (literally!) He never heard (or forgot) a joke he didn't like and reminded you even many years later of something funny you said or did. It was his way of letting you know that you had a place in his heart and were a unique ornament on his tree of life. It was an honor that came at seemingly random times but often just when you needed it most.
I will keep his spirit in my prayers and wish him a peaceful transition to whatever adventure the Lord has in store for him next
- prayers for you Rick - you have learned to fly and flown away. See you in the Cosmos!

Sincere condolences, Theo, to you and your family. I met Rick, who was my husband Alex's buddy, back in 1995. We liked each other immediately. He was kind, considerate, and lots of fun. We three, and sometimes four when Rick brought a lady friend with him, had many enjoyable adventures, including spending several Thanksgiving weekends in Cutchogue. He was so proud of his son Theo and after meeting him we understood why. The many wonderful memories will keep Rick in my heart forever. RIP, dear friend, you will be missed
