It was so nice to see Gary in Lethbridge this spring, and I will never forget watching the five of them buy those cowboy boots, they were like kids again....they should have had so many more memories to share. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of knowing Gary as a young athlete playing hockey for the Native Sons in Garson. I was also involved with helping him attend Clarkson on a hockey scholarship, my own alma mater, and he did me proud. He was an excellent student, hockey player and person at the University. His many contributions to the university made a difference. Being selected Captain of a Varsity Division 1 team tells you that he was very special. I extend my deepest sympathy to Gary's family and especially to the Larsen family in Sudbury.

Life is a collage of the people we meet and how we touch their lives. In the year we worked together I witnessed Gary’s successful contributions in Latin America. I also believed the latinos were impressed by a Spanish speaking fellow from Canada! Gary touched many with his humor, down to earth attitude and intellect. He was always willing to help others, even on Mondays which was not his favorite day of the week.
Kathy you partnered Gary in his greatest achievements, Annie and Kate which he was so very proud of. My prayers that God provide you peace during this time and that you may find comfort in knowing you were the center of Gary’s collage. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

I didn't have the opportunity to meet Gary but through my friendship with his sister Janis, her daughters Emma and Hilary and his parents Ron and Christine Larsen I have been lucky enough to hear many wonderful stories and memories. It is obvious to everyone that Gary was an amazing person. My deepest sympathy to his wife Kathy and his children Annie and Kate. I have worked with Gary for around five years and I'm very happy to have known him because more than an excellent professional he was a terrific person. My deepest condolences to Gary's family.
It’s very hard to understand and accept what happened when a person like Gary disappears so unexpectedly. I met him when he started working for Brinks in Miami and I can really assure that he was an excellent professional but what is more important is that he was a better person, always available when you needed an answer, with his special sense of humor, and really very kind. As somebody else said he was a real Gentleman and you can see that he was loved by a lot of persons all over the world. I feel a great sorrow and sadness for his departure, but, trying to find some resignation, I am convinced that he is in a better place now, taking care of all of you.

I had met Gary on a number of occassions through the Brinks network and particularly when he visited Ireland for the global conference last year.
He was a lovely man, great dry sense of humour, sharp, incisive, intelligent. He was a natural.

Gary and I developed a good friendship throughout the years we worked together. I admired his good humor and patience, not to mention his abilities and knowledge.
The news of his departure has struck all who knew him at the office in Perù.
There is little one can say at this time to console you. Just think he is in peace, and do your best effort to avoid the selfish feeling of sorrow for not having him physically present. His energy will stay around you,and you will soon feel his presence guiding you, taking care of you and pushing into your minds memories of the fun times you all shared.

It seemed like only yesterday that you were down in NYC for Joe's wedding or just a little long then that since we cleaned all the drift wood off the beach up north. When I called Lindsey at school, she immediately called Nora,Erin, and Lindsey Howard. In a way, I think that she still feels that she is on the tennis team at Godwin and is playing the big sister role. Her "away" message that night was a paraphrased quote from scripture which said, "call upon the Lord thy God and he will answer you".She also added that her thoughts and prayers were with Annie and the entire Larson family. We will all be praying that the Lord will embrace you with His unconditional love and grace.

Kathy, Annie and Kate: It is with much sorrow that we send you our condolences. We were so happy to see Gary when he came to Lethbridge last April. It was like old times reminicing about the old days, hockey, school, and family events. We remember Gary as the gentleman, and caring person that he was. With my brother Ian he was always so kind and considerate. Gary was a very special person and was so proud of his beautiful daughters and his loving wife and never tired telling us about them.
