Geraldine Bannister Obituary
Departed this life December 10, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, Joseph A. Tisdale (Ann); her sister, Kathleen T. Jones (Reginald); her sister-in-law, Joan V. Tisdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Geraldine is preceded in death by her beloved son, Vernon Bannister; her parents; and her siblings, Rachel Laverne Frierson and Edward L. Tisdale. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Mrs. Bannister can be viewed on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, 12 noon, at The Church of God in Richmond, 300 W. Roanoke Street, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral time. Apostle Michael Bennett, Officiating. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church on Monday, at 11:45 a.m.
