June 19, 1959 - July 26, 2024
POLSON, Gregory Martin "Gray" age 65 of Beaverdam, Virginia departed this life on July 26, 2024. Gray was a friendly, loyal and caring person. Once he loved you, that was forever. His attention to detail was tremendous. This transferred into caring and loving of family members when in need. He made certain everything was in place for their wellbeing. He loved his parents to no end. Gray was very creative and gifted, pertaining to design, decoration and art. He was also a talented baseball player growing up and through high school. He played first base and was a left-handed pitcher. He could throw smoke. Gray will be missed by family and many lifelong friends. He was preceded in passing by his father, Charles Martin Polson, his mother Dorothy Young Polson, and his brother Patrick Burch Polson. He is survived by his wife, Berkeley Nelson Harland and daughter, Katharine Alexandra Carey (Polson), brother Jeffrey Polson and his wife Pamela. Also surviving family include his nephew David, his wife Sarah and daughter (Stella). Niece Sara, her husband Thomas and daughter (Ruby), Aunt Beverly and Uncle Larry Young, along with multiple cousins from both sides of the family. Graveside service on August 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m., Westhampton Memorial Park, located at 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23228.

My condolences to his friends and family! Grey was a year behind me at J.R. Tucker High School. Played with him on the Tigers high school baseball team and little league at The Tuckahoe Fields. Great guy and competitor!
