Hazel Smith Obituary

Hazel G. Smith, 72, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord, June 12, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband, Dwight M. (Sonny) Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Debra S. Rudd and her husband, Ernie; granddaughters, Christie Kizer, Jessica and Kimberly Rudd; great-grandson, Christian Kizer; two sisters, Shirley Tyree and Alyce Tyree; one brother, James Grubbs. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Goodwill Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Goodwill Baptist Church or A.L.S. Society.
