Herman L. Walker, 90, of Highland Springs, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Born on January 26, 1935, in Richmond, VA, Herman lived a full and cherished life. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Lottie Meador and Roy Houston Walker; his brother, Robert Edward Walker; his sisters, Lottie "Dolly" Rankin and Erna Walker Bew; and his beloved wife, Nancy Foster Walker. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Walker Ludeke (Mack Franklin), and her children: Brett Ludeke (Saera), and Erica Hutchison (Cameron) and her children, Grady and Sawyer. His memory will also be cherished by his step-son, Al Palmer (Ellen), and his children, Lindsay Marr (Jason), Ross Palmer, Sara Palmer (Jayson Dorman), and her children, Brielle, Cora, and Finleigh. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Cynthia Cox and Becky Martin for their dedicated support and care.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Foundry Middlesex, PO Box 121, Locust Hill, VA 23092 or to a charity of your choice.

Though we may not truly know exactly what comes next, I know for certain it's a better place with you in it. Rest gently, Uncle Herman. You mattered to me - always. I´ve loved you so much. May you find eternal rest in the presence of God and His son, Jesus our Christ. Linda, I love you my dear cousin. Always have; always will.

I am sad to read of Herman´s passing. He was always so kind to all of us in the pharmacy when he came in. He seemed to have a gentle spirit. Thank you Mr Walker- tell Jesus to watch over us until we arrive. Have fun dancing with Nancy and the angels.
