Horace Mason Obituary
Horace "Pete" Mason passed away on December 31, 2025. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Norell Mason; as well as five brothers; and three sisters. A Korean War Veteran, Pete settled in Richmond after his military service and worked at DuPont. He is survived by his four children, Scott (Donna), Sheryl (Joe), Chris (Joanne), and Kelley (Frank); two grandchildren, Tony (Jessica) and Brooke (Trey); and four great-grandchildren, Addison, Cooper, Walker, and Presley; along with many nieces and nephews. Pete was a member of Webber Memorial Baptist Church and lived at Lucy Corr Assisted Living.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lucy Corr Foundation in memory of Horace Mason. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
