To Ms. Goodman and Nikki:
I dont know where to start........I know how much she meant to the both of you. I dont know how to put in words how this loss has effected the both of you, but know that she is OK. She was always full of life and never let herself get down on anything. She was and always will be loved and missed by all. I miss her dearly. And yet when I look at the skies, I know she is still dancing, smiling and looking down on all of us that she had in her life to say she is ok. She may be gone on Earth, but lives within all of us that ever had contact with her. She will be missed.....but her memories are carried on like a slide show from all of our hearts. She is ok. And GOD will see to that. I loved her, and I miss her.......Peace be to all

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

To Belinda and Family,
I look at the picture of Ikia and I still find myself saying "No". Ikia was the secretary of our Kinship Connection Group at MAABC and we will miss her laughter and jovial comebacks. I remember she called Jesus "My Lord." May God's angels of comfort and strength abound with you as you do what must be done at a time like this and as you go forward in the days ahead. Please do not weep as those who have no hope. We will see Ikia again when we are called up to meet our Lord and Savior in the sky.
Lovingly,
Mr. Gilbert and

Belinda, Niki and family:
We are Sons & Daughters, Brothers & Sisters all, joined together in this time of tragedy. We mourn, cry, and rejoice together as we hold on to each other and our faith in God's Word that, " weeping may endure for the night but joy will come in the morning."
We are assured that as untimely as we may feel it to be, Ikia has gone home to receive her reward.
Be comforted in knowing that because she received Jesus Christ as her Saviour, her soul is resting in His everloving arms, safe and secure forever.
We pray God's comfort, strength, love, power and peace be with you as we continue this journey of life hand in hand, arm in arm with each other and our Lord.
Love you,

Words of sorrow for your lovely young daughter aren't enough. I don't know your daughter, but read about her in the newspaper, what a REMARKABLE young woman. There are never answers to the "why" when something like this happens, but know I'm praying for Ikia's family and know she is with the Lord. She will always live thru her family and in their hearts.

I went to school (George Wythe) with Ikia, she always stood out from the rest. When I heard of her tragedy, my heart went out to her family. I was soon calmed after I heard the title given to her "Neighborhood Christian" My heart was filled with joy, knowing God takes good care of his own—We may not understand why, but God knows when we are ready. Although this is a tragedy, it is a blessing because her relationship with God was a witness to draw people closer to "Him". God Bless the family who are in mourning, but know that God has her safe in HIS arms. God Bless you and I send my condolences.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. This hit me as a shock when I found out. I had just seen Kia in the store and hugged her and conversated with her and she looked at the kids and was like "wow they have grown so much", she smiled her smile and was like time is flying ....girl you getting up there! I had the joy of meeting Kia when she first moved to Virginia. Kia was part of my family, I saw her go to the prom, graduate from high school go to the navy and become a young woman. I have memories of laughing, crying and just hanging out and having fun. Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel right now, life is so precious, and to be taken away so soon as she still had so much to do hurts even more. But I know that god has a wonderful garden in heavan and he has picked one of his best. The past 8 1/2 years that god blessed me to have with Kia I thank him for. Kia is gone but not forgotten, for a short while we will be apart but her memory will live forever in our minds and in our hearts. We love you Kia! Love DaVonne and kids!
