Ivy S. Hill, Sr.

HILL, Sr., Ivy S. – 74 of King William, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Irene Hill. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 51 years, Joann Hill; his two children, Michelle Hunt (Michael) and Ivy Hill, Jr. (Nikki); four grandchildren, Brittany Erwin, Austin Hunt, Hailey Hill, and Nolan Hill; three great-grandchildren, Kash Hunt, Theo Mickey, and Gracie Erwin; his sister, Ann Wallace (Mike); his brother, Walter Hill (Sherry); and many other relatives and friends. Ivy was the proud owner of Ivy Hill Electric and a member of IBEW #666. He started out at the young age of 16 doing electrical work and grew it into a lifelong business. He was a workaholic and worked hard to provide for his family, whom he dearly loved. He was an avid duck hunter and could often be found in a duck blind when he wasn't working. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2026, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2026, at Pamunkey Baptist Church, 1308 Pocahontas Trail, King William, VA 23086, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the church.
