James Horne Obituary

James C. Horne Sr., 74, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 1, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ida Mae Horne; two daughters, Elizabeth Covington and husband, Larry, and Debbie Atkins and husband, Gerald; one son, James C. Horne Jr. and wife, Lisa; six grandchildren, Gerald (Susie), Christina (Dave), Lindsey, Courtney, Kieran, and Brianna; two great grandchildren, Atto James and Stella Mae; six sisters, one brother, as well as numerous other family members. Mr. Horne was a retired Philip Morris employee, a member of Northside Masonic Lodge #292 AF&AM, and a member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church. Remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. where family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2005 at Fairfield Presbyterian Church. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairfield Presbyterian Church. P.O. Box 1088, Mechanicsville, Va. 23111, Attn: Capital Campaign 2005.
