Jamirah Washington

WASHINGTON, Jamirah, age 16, of Richmond, departed this life July 3, 2021. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Angela Tyler and O. J. and Gladys Robinson. She is survived by her mother, Shameka Washington; and Oliver Robinson Jr., whom she loved as her father; and Mike Richards; maternal grandparents, Dr. Melvin and Vernice Washington; paternal grandmother, Karen Richards; four sisters, Sadeh Hall, Shunti Washington, Journee Holloway and Kimaria Richards; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where Jamirah can be viewed Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, starting at 10 a.m. ending with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, at 11 a.m. Rev. Sheilia Bobbitt-Lewis officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. The governor's recommendation on social distancing will be adhered to. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.
