Janet Blaylock Obituary
November 22, 1935 - May 21, 2025
Janet Bonker Blaylock, 89, a longtime resident of Mechanicsville went to be with the lord on May 21, 2025.
Janet is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth; her sister, Ellen Baird; and her parents, Raymond and Helen Bonker. She is survived by her childen, Kenneth Blaylock Jr. (Sharyn), Shari Yorke (Jeff), and Shelly Noble (Donald); grandchildren, Jeremy and Helen Yorke; Ellis, Lydia and Jake Noble; and Kenny Ray, Charlie and Sam Blaylock; and a largeloving extended family.
Janet was the past president of the Women & #39's VFW Auxiliary. She loved to play piano, listen to music and entertain. She had a great sense of humor and was loved by everyone that knew her. A special thanks is extended to all the wonderful caregivers in the past year, especially Jacque who was there until the end.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 29th at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd. A service will be held Friday, May 30th at 12:30 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Judes Children and #39's Network or the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

I extend condolences from my family to yours. We had the pleasure of spending some times with Janet over the years. We enjoyed hearing of the weekly card games and meals she shared with her son Kenny and his wife Sharyn and her grandsons. Janet blessed her family and left an indelible legacy.
