ZIMMERMAN, Janet Harvey, 57, of Richmond, died January 18, 2023. She was preceded in death by her son, Jordan C. Zimmerman; and father, Jesse C. Harvey. Surviving are her husband, Leroy Zimmerman; a daughter, Briana N. Zimmerman; two sons, LeVell A. Zimmerman and Tyrell Zimmerman (Tiffany); mother, Etta S. Harvey: grandson, Jaycea Wagner; sister, Latonya Shepherd; two brothers, Charles and Ricky Newman; four sisters-in-law, Cynthia, Loretta, Theresa and Karen Zimmerman; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be Friday, January 27 from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The family will receive friends in Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd., from 6 to 7 p.m. and where funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28 at 11 a.m. Rev. Sylvester Turner officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. My heart was full with sadness when I learned that my fried (Von) had oassed. Then to learned tha Leroy had also passed a few days after. I still struggle with their passing and I try to find the strenght to carry on. I want to say that they will never be forgotten all the days of my life because I will always love Von and Leroy became my friend too. God is Good all the time even in times like these! You and your husband will always be family to me and my family! :)

Mrs Zimmerman was a joy to work with at Woodville Elem. She was always smiling and interested in how one was doing. Very compassionate for others especially the students!
