Jeanne C. Frayser

FRAYSER, Jeanne C., 98, left this world for a new journey on October 22, 2022. She was the daughter of William Ashby and Lillian Duke Frayser. Jeanne graduated from Varina High School and Richmond Professional Institute (now VCU) with a degree in Business Administration, as well as from William and Mary with a master's degree in Education. She taught third grade for 25 years in Varina and loved each and every child. She was a family historian, flower and bird lover and a lover of travel. She was a huge fan of Phil Mickelson and watching UVA football and basketball. She was a witty and an amazingly fun aunt, as well as being quite a lady whom we all loved so dearly. Left to honor her are her nieces, Brenda Wright (Ed), Julie Fain; and nephews, W. Ashby Frayser III, Larry Frayser, Rick Frayser, Eddy Frayser (Amy) and Roger Fain; as well as nine great-nieces and one great-nephew and seven great-great-nieces and five great-great-nephews. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her wonderful caregivers, Veronica Gates and Joyce Udriet. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 27 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., with a graveside service on Friday, October 28 at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery.
