Jeffery Foldesi Obituary

FOLDESI, Jeffery James Sr., a current resident of Richmond, Virginia and long time resident of Hopewell, Virginia. He departed this life and entered into the presence of the Lord on September 14, 2007 as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident on Labor Day and other health issues. He was born in Hopewell, Virginia on December 11, 1942. He graduated from Hopewell High School in 1961. He served in the Vietnam War as a cook and went on to work and retire from Reynolds Metal after 33 years of faithful service. He and his ex-wife Nancy Foldesi James had just one son, Jeffery James Foldesi Jr., but had one nephew (Roger Brown) he loved as a son. He will be greatly missed by his son, Jeffery James Foldesi Jr. and his wife, Shelly Haffield Foldesi; and five grandkids, Malina Charity, Madison Grace, Joshua Paul, Mandi Hope and Macie Faith who said, "We will miss you PAPA!" Likewise, he will be greatly missed by his three loving sisters, Janie F. Ramsey, Callie F. Shannon and Helen F. Brown; and two close brother-in-laws, Gene Shannon Sr. and Steve (Sonny) Brown; as well as his nephew, Roger Brown and wife, Rhonda Brown; and great-nephew and niece, Vincent and Somer Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry J. Foldesi and Cynthia L. Foldesi; as well as his ex-wife of 13 years, Nancy Foldesi James. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Prince George. He loved fishing and playing cards, and spending time with his grandkids, his great-nephew and niece. The staff of the W.S. Watkins and Son Funeral Home is serving his family. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 7 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church in Prince George, Virginia. It will be conducted by his pastor, Dr. Alex Roberts.
