Jimmy Gerrald Obituary

GERRALD, Mr. Jimmy Kirkland, age 49, of Brentwood, Tenn., passed away August 10, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Susan Wilkinson Gerrald; son, William Kirkland Gerrald; daughter, Elizabeth Hartwell Gerrald; parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Gerrald of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Steve E. Gerrald (Rhonda) of Columbia, S.C.; sister, Diane Gerrald Stubs (Bill) of Columbia, S.C.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. Leon Wilkinson; brother-in-law, William S. "Billy" Wilkinson (Bonnie), all of Union Level, Va.; two nieces and four nephews. Jimmy was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church and an Executive with Coca-Cola Company for 27 years. He was a TSSAA and TYFA official and coached youth football for eight years and during the past three years at Brentwood Academy. He was an adored coach and friend to all that knew him. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Union Level, Va. Memorial donations may be directed to the Kirk and Elizabeth Gerrald Scholarship Fund, c/o Bank of America, 7120 Moores Lane, Brentwood, Tenn. 37027. Farrar Funeral Home of South Hill is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. James, Mrs. Hazel and family

I know God is with you in your time of grieving. It was a shock to hear of Jimmy’s passing but somewhat comforting to hear about the many people that he touched during his stay. I understand this was obvious by the huge crowds that turned out to show their last respects. Jimmy will be missed by many until the time we all meet again in the presence of our Holy Father.
