John Robert was my first cousin. Most of the Cronin family--Uncle Alley was one of eleven children--- lived in New Jersey, so we saw them mostly at weddings and funerals. Betty Anne entered a convent in New York state and Uncle Alley would stop by when he came to visit her. Jimmy was only six the last time I saw him--ironic to find out that he lives only forty miles away from me in Washington.
