To several of us in the cyberlaw community, John was a mentor, co-counsel, worthy adversary, and friend. His influence will be felt for a long time, and he will be missed by many.

John called me a few weeks ago to talk about the next Cyberlaw Summit he had organized. The summit was one of the many ways that John helped mentor younger attorneys in the Internet legal community.

Didn't learn until this evening that he had passed away. You have my deepest condolences. He will be truly missed.

Remembering the good times: Christmas carol serenades, fresh crab pulled right from the water and into the pot, video games with 4 young Willoughbys. God Bless you John. Love, Barb, Mark and the whole gang

I remember John from the "The Corner Cafe" in the Paragon building. We owned the Cafe there--he always came in to buy something--always smiling and always enjoyed talking to him. Such a nice guy and welcomed us when we bought the place. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

John was a dear man. The last time I saw him, he looked on the mend and had a lot of hope. This is how I will remember him. My prayers and good wishes to the pride of his life, his boys. Your Pop thought you guys were the tops. Good memories to you all.

My condolences to John's children, brothers and extended family. He was a real character, and I suspect is lighting up a room somewhere right now. We were law school classmates, house mates for a year, and reunited a few years back while involved in a case. He hadn't changed a bit.
I hope all your fairways are straight, your putts true, and your smile permanent.

John was a law school classmate and one of my roommates our last year. Focus, drive and enthusiasm were the traits he displayed early and what made him excel in law. Decades later we talked of struggles and successes - none more rewarding than fatherhood. My condolences to the entire family. RIP John.

Dear John and Justin,
I will always remember your Dad for his support of the Steward School Golf team while you were here. What a great trip to Orlando we had! I enjoyed talking to him this spring at Hermitage after our practices and seeing him hit balls.
I would be at the funeral but we are out of state on vacation. I am thinking of you both.

I had the good fortune to write a book with John. He was a gifted wordsmith, an impassioned crusader, an artful teacher, and much more. My deepest condolences to his family and colleagues. The world is a lesser place without John but he leaves us with the gift of his brilliance, so generously shared with us all.

John was definitely one of the most brilliant minds I have ever meet. I was blessed to work with him on our book which couldn't have been done without him and his expertise.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He will be missed tremendously.

My Condolences to the Dozier Family,

I met John many years ago. Although, I only saw him on occasion; he was always very warm and friendly during our catching up time. He left this world too soon; however, he is now in very good hands.
