John Harrington Obituary
June 11, 1947 - May 30, 2025
Jack Harrington, 77, of Midlothian, Va., passed away seven months after the love of his life, Michelle. A decorated Marine Corps captain, devout Catholic, devoted father and grandfather, legendary sales rep, and gifted storyteller, Jack lived to lift others up. Through many trials, Jack never lost his faith nor lifelong devotion to family. He was a steadfast cheerleader for his kids and grandkids and never missed Sunday Mass. He shared ridiculous stories, working himself into fits of laughter, and told them best in a room filled with his loud and loving Jersey family. While his heart didn't have time to recover from losing Michelle, it never would have anyway.
Jack is survived by his sister, Marilyn Leahy of Ocean Gate, N.J.; children, Sean (Lisa), Kevin (Catherine), Cristin Kelley (Jeff), and Meghan McAdams (Mike); stepsons he considered his own, Ian and Patrick (Ashley) Anderson; grandchildren, Courtland, Ryann, Juniper, Cullen, Luke, Axel, Maggie, Nora, Julia, Eleanor, Bridget, and Reid; and many nieces, nephews, friends and his ACAC Midlothian family.
Visitation will be held June 12, 2025, at 12 p.m., at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Bon Air, Va., with funeral liturgy at 1 p.m. Capt. Harrington and Michelle will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico, Va., in a private ceremony.

It was a special day, every day working with Jack. This obit says it well. He was a terrific salesperson, Leader and storyteller. I have so many memories of joy being with him. I hired Jack into GM. But he did the teaching. What a talent. My deepest sympathies to his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Jack was a friend from ACAC and Friday gatherings of like-minded men at Starbucks to discuss the world's problems. We will miss his many funny stories, shared laughs, and serious discussions.
