John Eldridge Pullin

John Pullin, age 92, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2025. The last of seven children born to the late Charles McKeen and Fannie Waid Pullin, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Doris Grosse Pullin. John is survived by his sons, Glenn Warren Pullin (Rene), Kenneth Waid Pullin (Trish), and Timothy Lee Pullin (Karen); 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was a US Army veteran and retired after 37 years of service with Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. John was an active member of the church he attended. He loved music and served as the music director for three decades at Richmond First Church of the Nazarene. In recent years, as a member of New Hanover Pres, and Restoration Church in Mechanicsville, he enjoyed singing in the choir. John was an avid car enthusiast and restorer. He also enjoyed gardening.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
