Johnny Mack Dean

April 19, 1954 - January 22, 2025

Johnny Mack Dean, 70, of Bumpass, Va., passed away on January 22, 2025. He was born in Warm Springs, Va. and graduated from Hermitage High School. He was a Carpenter and worked at Carter Machinery for 13 years. Johnny loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Carson and Mabel Dean; and niece, Cathy Dean. He is survived by wife, Janice; son, Daniel Dean (Mayra); daughter, Melissa Schreffler (Jeremy); grandsons, Jeremy (J.K), Jefferson, Jackson and Xander; two brothers, Gene Dean (Jean) and Wayne Dean; also, close friends, more like family, Danny Clough, Jamie and Terri Burns, Eunice and Jerry Hensley, and William Byiers.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Lacy Funeral Home, 6241 Cross County Rd., Mineral, VA 23117. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Hunters for the Hungry. Service private.
