Jon Freeze Obituary
Michael attended Deep Run High School, participating on the cross country and track & field teams. He graduated with a bachelor's in Science from the University of Richmond in 2011. A lifelong learner, Michael pursued a master's degree in Decision Analytics, graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020. Most recently, he was a Data Scientist at Markel in Richmond, Va. Above all else, Michael was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He served as an active member at West End Presbyterian Church and a leader with the ministry of Young Life (2007 to 2017). Michael exemplified a true servant's heart through authentic friendships, but most importantly, in his marriage to Hillary and fathering of Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at West End Presbyterian Church, 9008 Quioccasin Rd., Henrico, Va. A funeral service celebrating Michael's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, followed by a reception at 1 p.m. also at West End Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Richmond West End Young Life or your favorite charity. In addition, an educational savings fund for Thomas is being established by family and friends.

My deepest sympathies go out to both families. Michael was my co-worker Kinsale and was simply a great person to be around. I always enjoyed our conversations. He will be missed tremendously by all he touched in his life.
