Joseph Ceglia Obituary

Joseph P. Ceglia, 85, died February 13, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Louise Arnold Ceglia. Joe was predeceased by his son, William J. Ceglia, who passed away in 1997. Other survivors include his three grandchildren, Virginia Cardinale, William J. Ceglia Jr. and Rob Ceglia; his three great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Connor Cardinale, and Tristan Ceglia; and his brother and sister, Pat Ceglia and Lucy Willemsen. Joe was career military, served during World War II, and continued his service during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Upon retirement, Joe worked for civil service. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 17 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad St., where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, with Monsignor William Sullivan officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers and food, memorials may be made to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 823 Park Ave., Richmond, Va. 23220-4764, or a charity of your choice.

I know Joseph's grandson Bill well. He has spoken often in reverent and glowing terms about his grandfather. I know from this that Jospeh will be remembered well by those of us that have had the pleasure of hearing the stories about him. May he rest in peace.
