Joseph Chavis Obituary
Joseph was educated in Richmond Public Schools and graduated from Armstrong High School in 1960. He played football and excelled in business. After graduating from high school, he briefly attended Howard University and later joined the United States Airforce. After serving in the military, Joseph worked inthe United States Post Office for five years and went on to work at IBM as a Customer Engineer and in Programming where he retired in 1992.
Those left to cherish his memories are wife, Emma Chavis; two sons, Daman (Linda) and Beau Chavis; three daughters, Roxanne, Chelcey and Morgan Chavis; grandchildren, Brandon (Regina) Green, Maxwell Chavis, Oshaun and Cynetra; one great-grandchild, Brandon Green III; two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was loved and beloved by his friends. Service date to be determined. Condolences to:
