I was saddened to hear of the passing of Col. Pittman. It was under his watch that I got my start in law enforcement. My prayers go out to the family. May God bless each of you. He will be missed.

I would first like to give my condolences to everyone that knew Eddie. As I only knew him for a few years, he was an honest and intriguing man. I will always be grateful to him and Jean for raising Kristen to the beautiful and sophisticated woman she is today. I am sorry that I was not able to get to know him better.

Papa was the greatest man I have ever known. He and grandma raised me as their own and that is the best thing I could ever have. I wouldn't be who I am today without them. Grandma I Love you whole bunches and I want you to know that you and papa were the best parents ever and I thank you for everything.

We are so very sorry to hear about Joe's death. Joe was a very respected Police Officer and person as well as a good friend and will be sorely missed by all. Eddie was the best Father-In-Law. He was always there for his family. He affected everyones' life that he came in contact with. He never spoke a negative word of anyone. He was always very supportive, and caring. He is respected by all. He was a loving and gentle Grandfather. He was also like a father figure to his grand-children. He always had an impact on my kids' lives. He will be forever loved and missed.

Joe will surely be missed on the future trips Hatteras - he's been a good friend to lot's of folks. I will be eternally grateful for his giving me a chance in 1975 when he hired me on as a police officer. He will forever be my Chief.
