I knew Asa Whitt as a fellow member of Univestors, an investment club sponsored by the First Unitarian Church of Richmond. When asked, he would always explain some subtle point about investments, based on his many years of professional experience. My sincere condolences to his family.

I worked with Mr. Whitt for many years when he handled the financial matters of my employer. He was my teacher, my friend and we never quite lost touch. We exchanged emails in the last few years and he was always upbeat and a good friend. My husband, Jim, and I will feel his absence; he was our good friend. We hope that his family will handle his absence peacefully, in their own way, in their own time. We share your grief.

We treasure having known him and we trust he is free, at last, of pain.

I would like to extend my most sincere condolence to the family for their loss. I went to work for the Firm of Baker, Brydon, Rennolds and Whitt in 1962 and retired in 1993 from Deloitte & Touche, being the last BBR&W employee remaining from the predecessor firm. Mr. Whitt was well respected by his many clients who depended on his expertise. I have many fond memories of my long working association with this very individualistic and brilliant man. He will be missed.
