Joyce A. Bailey

September 16, 1934 - September 28, 2025

Joyce Ann Bailey, 91, of Richmond, VA, died Sunday, September 28, 2025.

She was the daughter of Hurstel and Susie Mabes of Salem, Va. Joyce was married to Albert Bailey for 39 years before his death in 1991. Always a dedicated hard worker, Joyce completed coursework to obtain her L.P.N. and R.N. licensures and served as a dedicated Registered Nurse at Chippenham Hospital for the majority of her medical career.

She is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Deborah Ann Bailey lacopinelli and is survived by her daughters, Della B. Kidd (Keith), Lindy Moore (Doug); granddaughters, Cristina Francis (Jeff) and Amelie Nicole Kidd Hansen (Troy); grandsons, Allen Iacopinelli (Malinda), Austin Moore, Joseph Moore (Christina), David Moore, Daniel Moore, and Bradley Moore. She was a proud great grandmother of Claire Francis and Kate Francis of Richmond, and Cole Emmett Parker Hansen and Margaret (Maggie) Joyce Frances Hansen, of Ashburn, Va. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jean Mabes of Salem, VA.

Her family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 2 at Huguenot Road Baptist Church in Richmond, where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.

Interment will take place at Dale Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 7 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011
