Joyce A. Van Divender, 86, of Williamsburg, formerly of Richmond, passed away December 26, 2025. She is survived by her husband, William Van Divender; four children, Mary Beth Cox (Tim), Robert Van Divender (Grace), Jennifer Lantz (David) and Anne Smedley (Scott); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Peggy Baker. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Van Divender.
The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, January 5th, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 6th, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
