I was just thinking of Julian.. I´ve been reading his book Lest We Forget and preparing for our Rock Family gathering this year. Last year I shared information from his book with the family and preparing to do the same again. His dedication to his family and the information he has shared with us is a great gift for many generations to come. I recently attempted to contact his wife Gloria and was unsuccessful. I would appreciate if someone could contact me. Julian has left a Legacy and we the family are forever grateful. He´s helped me truly understand what "Those who have no past, have no future." mean. Peace and Blessings

I want to send my deepest sympathy at Mr. Burke's passing to you all. I have enjoyed greatly knowing him as a colleague and friend here at the Historical Society and as a wonderful resource and help to so many people doing genealogical research. We will miss him very much both for his friendliness and the depth of knowledge he provided. May God send best comfort to you all.

It is with great sorrow that I'm making an entry in this Guest Book. Julian will be missed by the entire Afro-American Historical & Genealogical Society,Inc., not only for his direction as Awards Chairman but for his friendship to members of the organization. We extend our prays to the family in this, their hour of need. We won't forget our friend, Julian.
