Kathryn Elkins Obituary
Kathryn was born on October 6, 1952 in Richmond, Va. to Harold and Grace Shores.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Danny and Richard Shores; and her stepdaughter, Jennifer Petrovsky.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charles (Eddie) Elkins; her sons, Kenneith (Janet) Yates and Samuel (Amber) Yates; her grandchildren, Lance Yates, Tabatha Yates, Justin Roe, Joshua Roe, Patrick McAlister and Kami Alexander; her brother, Terry (Faye) Shores; and her stepmother, Nancy Jean Shores.
Kathy was quick-witted and loved helping anyone in need. She loved dancing, gardening, cooking, spending time with her family and she loved going to the casinos with her best friend, Cindy Rivas. She enjoyed cruising the Caribbean with her beloved husband. She was a hair stylist for over 50 years and she loved each and every one of her clients.
Graveside services will be on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Hopeful Baptist Church, 14340 Hopeful Church Rd., Montpelier, Va. 23192.

I will always treasure our years of friendship, seeing you almost daily at Cedarfield and reminiscing about our early life with the many connections we had ...
I am sure that the many friends and family that have gone before us are happy to see you and y´all will keep each other safe ...
