I am so sad to hear about Kellie's death. She was the PTA president when I was principal at Elkhardt. We sat and talked often. We didn't always agree but we always respected and liked each other. Mrs. Blathers was devoted to her husband and her children. We talked much about what was best for Donte. She wanted only the best for him and for all children. She was an advocate for children and sincere in her desire to see that the system served all children well. After many of our discussions, we would hug and go on our way. The world has lost a loving, caring and commited woman. My prayers are with you as a family.

I was very sad to hear about Kellie. Kellie was more like my big sister and wanted so much for me. She gave me good advise and could just relate to me in some situations my mom couldn't. To Diamond, Donte, Lil Donald, and Don stay strong and make Kellie proud. Brenda take care of yourself and know my family is here. I will truly miss Kellie and my condolences goes out to the entire family.

God calls home nothing but the best and she was just that. Every time I saw her she was just so cheerful and full of love. I didn't get a chance to see Kellie often but the times that I did it was very memorable and I will never for get that glow that she had when she talked about her family. To my cousin Donald, know that you and the kids where the apple of hers eyes. And I pray that god wraps his arms around you and the kids and lead you through this dark hour. LOVE ALWAYS Your cousin JOY

Anyone who knew Kellie would have to say that she was full of life. Never a dull moment. She loved to have fun and she loved to dance. She had big hopes and big dreams especially for her children. When I received the call from her devoted husband Donald I could not help but to think "Life is just too short" I am sending up many prayers for the family and I just have to remember that she is truely in a much better place. Donald, little Donald, Donte and Diamond remember the good times. And keep her dreams alive try to be strong. I will definately miss the way Kellie would say Rosie no one could say it like her. Please call me if anything is needed. And remember to pray . God will not put anything on you that you can not bare.

To Kellie's mom, Donald, Sr., Donald, Jr., Diamond and the rest of the family:
Please accept our sincere condolensces in the loss of your loved one. Kellie was truly a great person. I (Nichelle) had the pleasure of knowing and working with her years ago. Her bubbly personality remained the same. The days are going to be long, you're going to mourn, but trust and believe that God will be right there with you every step of the way. May He comfort and strengthen each one of your during and after your time of bereavement.
