ALBERGOTTIE, Kenneth "Kenny" William, 61, of Chesterfield, Va., gained his wings on April 10, 2021, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Albergottie Jr.; grandparents, Darnell and Hattie Watts and Freddie and Katie Albergottie; and father-in-law, Calvin J. Counsel. He is survived by his wife, Brenda F. Albergottie; daughters, LaToya N. Albergottie-Barnes, Yolanda A. Albergottie and Kendra N. Williams; grandchildren, Da'von A. Fields and Adrian Williams; mother, Mae F. Albergottie-Cotton; and stepfather, Hillary Cotton Sr.; siblings, Debora Albergottie-Holliday (Doc), Fred Albergottie III (Kontanita), Aaron Albergottie, Daniele Albergottie (Diana), Bonita Albergottie-Pugh (Kenny), Angela Albergottie-Taylor (Renny) and Hillary Cotton Jr.; last living aunt, Hilda Robbins; mother-in-law, Amy B. Counsel; brothers-in-law, Alvin Counsel (Cynthia), Melvin Counsel and Phillip Counsel; sisters-in-law, Glenda A. Taylor (Mark) and Melinda Counsel; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends. He was born July 23, 1959. He graduated from Manor High School, attended Norfolk State University, received his associate's from John Tyler Community College, served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Department of Defense (DSCR). Kenny was an amazing master carpenter, who was passionate about teaching others the craft of carpentry. His natural ability to construct and fix anything was remarkable. Kenny enjoyed spending time with family, playing an intense game of spades, fishing and watching his favorite HGTV programs. Kenny was a devoted husband and loving father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle. His loved ones will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. A memorial ceremony will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd.
