OWENS, Kevin Wayne, 36, of King William, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on March 23, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1987. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Owens; his aunt, Linda McLaughlin; and grandfather, James R. Owens, Sr. He is survived by his father, James R. Owens, Jr.; brother, Mathew Owens (Kristen); his sister, Stephanie Scherbing (Blake); his grandmother, Agnes C. Owens; and two aunts, Debbie Ware (Alan) and Kim Owens; and nieces and nephews. Kevin enjoyed sports, watching T.V., playing with his toys, and being outside. He was a graduate of King William High School Class of 2008. Shortly after birth, Kevin had heart surgery which made Kevin the special and unique person that he was. Throughout all the challenges that Kevin faced, he proved every day that miracles can happen all the time. Kevin always left a warm spot in the hearts of everyone that met him.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at B. W. White Funeral Home, Aylett. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Shepherds United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shepherds United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 163 Fleets Mill Road, St. Stephens Church, Va. 23148.
