Larry Ellis Obituary
Mr. Ellis was an avid golfer and could be found on the golf course two days or more each week. He loved spending time at the beach, but his greatest joy was spending time anywhere with his family and friends. Mr. Ellis was the epitome of a "southern gentleman." He was a selfless, funny, loving and devoted family man. Mr. Ellis worked for Dominion Power his entire adult life and retired in 1996, as the Senior Vice President of Power Supply. Words cannot express how much he is loved, or how greatly he will be missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife, Mary Ester Ellis; daughters, Lynn Ellis Colbe and Lori Ellis Vance (Steve); his son, Christopher Wayne Ellis (Ying); grandchildren, Sara Vance, Nick Colbe, Katie Vance, Isabella Sun, Daniel Ellis and Angela Ellis; and his brother, Mark Hansel Ellis (Linda).
The family will be receiving visitors at Bennett Funeral Home, Chesterfield Chapel, on January 22, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.

I had the opportunity to work for Larry for five years. He was a great boss and a wonderful man. Our prayers and sympathies go out to Mary and praise for a life well lived. He will be greatly missed.
