Linda Bookman Obituary

BOOKMAN, Linda Ann, age 73, earned her angel's wings on March 18, 2021 after a 13-year battle with cancer and other medical issues. She passed away at home as she wished with Mel by her side. Linda was born in Waverly, N.Y. and lived on her family's dairy farm in Candor, N.Y.

She was a graduate of Candor (N.Y.) High School, Robert Packer Nursing School (Pa.) and MCV Anesthesia School (Va.). Longtime member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and Forestdale Women's Club. She is survived by her husband, Mel Bookman; her children, Andrew and Steve; her grandchildren, Andrew Jr. and Melinda; her brothers, Carl (Betty) Jantz of Sacramento and Roger (Cindy) Jantz of Candor, N.Y.; niece, Veronica (Carl) Williamson and nephew, John (Karin) Jantz, both of Candor, N.Y.; several cousins and grandnieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to either Southminster Presbyterian Church Food Closet, N. Chesterfield, Va. or food bank of your choice.

So sad to hear of Linda’s passing. We sat together at a family get-together a few years ago. She was jolly and happy; I had no idea she was so very ill. Rest In Peace sweet Cousin. My condolences to all of the family. Betty Foster Clark.
